About Beth Smoot

My business is built on a strong work ethic, close attention to detail, and a clear understanding of my clients’ goals. With more than 20 years of experience as a North Carolina real estate broker, I have listed and sold over 400 properties totaling more than $180 million in value. Having seen nearly every type of transaction and challenge the market can present, I am well prepared to guide my clients with confidence, skill, and steady judgment. My goal is always the same: to deliver exceptional customer service and make the buying or selling process as smooth, informed, and enjoyable as possible.

Before entering real estate, I practiced law in North Carolina for nearly a decade. My legal career included work with the North Carolina Department of Justice, private practice at Yates, McLamb & Weyher, LLC, and service as a law clerk to North Carolina Supreme Court Justice (later Chief Justice) Henry E. Frye. This background continues to inform my real estate practice every day.

As a broker, I draw heavily on the advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving skills I developed as an attorney. Buyers and sellers deserve professional representation when making what is often one of the largest financial decisions of their lives. I take that responsibility seriously and work alongside a trusted team of lenders, inspectors, attorneys, contractors, and other professionals to ensure my clients are well supported at every step of the process.

Community involvement is also central to my work. In 2010, I co-founded The Green Chair Project, a local furnishing assistance program that supports families transitioning out of crisis or homelessness. Thanks to an extraordinary community response, The Green Chair Project has served over 10,000 participants and operates from a 30,000+ square-foot facility on Capital Boulevard. It has been a privilege to be part of the organization’s growth and impact. I also served as past Chair of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors® Giving Network Board, helping expand its grantmaking support to nonprofits addressing homelessness in our community.
